Apparently it is their longtime guitar technician Elwood Francis that is stepping up to play bass for them and yes he does have a beard.

I didn't read the tour dates but I guess they will....Z Z Top have a huge following in Germany, UK, the Scandinavian countries, but also Italy.

A Top without a long beard is like peaches without cream or bacon without eggs

Strangely the only one without a beard is the drummer and his name is Frank Beard.
