Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight
Hey you out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home
But it was only fantasy
The wall was too high
As you can see
No matter how he tried
He could not break free
And the worms ate into his brain
Hey you, out there on the road
Always doing what you're told
Can you help me?
Hey you, out there beyond the wall
Breaking bottles in the hall
Can you help me?
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall

That's why I don't know it. I tend not to waste time with wimpy songs/albums.....know what I mean ??! :):)
Gotta disagree with that man, it's a beautiful and genius album in my opinion.

I'm probably biased with this (I was introduced to the Floyd through the Wall), but I can't say it's wimpy.

But I must say that The Final Cut is their best album. And Ummagumma. And Animals. And Piper. And Saucerful. And... you get the idea.:)

The last albums you mentioned are still Floyd at their best.....The Wall is the most overrated album ever in rock history and that for me = wimpy. I was surprised to learn that quite a few critics out there disdain this album.....you would be surprised too , hehehehehe.

I agree that listening to the whole double album is a bit difficult and you need to be in the right mood. However, there are some cracking tracks on the album including the above, the title tack, Mother, run like hell and of course comfortably numb.

CN is indeed unwimpy :)

I can't respond to your opinions on The Wall without a straight face, I just love it. You're out there, my friend. That's a good thing.

I guess it depends on the person. I couldn't listen to the studio version one day and then the studio version again the next, but I could listen to the demos next, and then Roger Waters The Wall Live In Berlin 1990, then Pink Floyd The Wall Live At Earls Court, then Roger Waters The Wall (the 2015 movie) and then, finally, Pink Floyd The Wall (the 1982 movie).

Then I put on TFC

I thought you said CN is indeed wimpy for a second. I was very confused. I mean, that guitar solo at the end (I can actually play it, not as well as Gilmour, but whatever). However, Gilmour's live solo is the best one.

CN is the only song off The Wall which I consider to be NOT wimpy and listenable.
